You will hear the voice of sorrow that Farid Farjad—known as “the man who makes the violin weep” and regarded as one of the world’s greatest violin virtuosos—shouted to the world through his violin following the oppression he faced in his homeland, performed by violinist Ercan Köktürk. Ercan Köktürk, who cites Farid Farjad as the reason he began playing the violin and looks up to him as a role model, is the only person authorized by Farid Farjad to perform his works after him, and has given countless concerts as part of the “Farid Farjad Works” concert series.
